How do I subscribe?

Simply visit our shop, or click the subscribe links on site.

I don't have a credit card. How can I subscribe?

We accept cheques and postal orders (crossed) made payable to hartside.com
3 Railway Terrace, Caerphilly, Mid Glamorgan, CF83 1HX. Please write your email address, telephone number and PACK name on the reverse of your cheque.

Q-Bee used to be free, why do I have to pay now to access the complete games?

If you enjoy using Q-Bee, you may continue to play the games via our 'activity sets'.
By charging a small fee, we can develop new games, improve existing games, and add additional benefits to the site.

Regular users will be aware that for about 3 years there were no new games, stories or printable activities added to the site.
However, we received so many emails about the site, people with ideas for games, wanting more games, more printable activities - we want to do more - but other sites earn income, and had priority.
We only need to sell a few subscriptions each week, to ensure new games are added weekly. So we would ask that our users purchase subscriptions to reap the additional benefits.

Can you link to www..... ?

We only offer 3 external links on our public site. One for our parent company hartside.com, and two additional links to download the software required to use Q-Bee and Friends.

In Subscriber areas there are NO external links.

We do not offer advertising or any other external links on site. As we believe children should be able to safely use the internet. Young children in particular need the bright colours and ease of use that Q-bee has to offer.

Please do supervise your child whilst connected to the internet.

My child loves Q-Bee is there any merchandise?

We are hoping soon to have a small selection of merchandise available.

Game Help
I am experiencing problems playing the games. They will not display.

To play the games, please ensure that you have the latest Flash Player Plug-in from Macromedia. This can be downloaded from http://www.macromedia.com

I have no sound?

Please ensure that your speakers are turned on, and that your system is correctly set up for your computer.
If you are still experiencing problems. Please ensure you have the latest version of the Flash Player plug in, Available from Macromedia.

Can I repeat a level, or select which level to play?

Currently this option is not available, but we will enable this soon.
To repeat a level, simply reload/refresh the browser page, and it will return to the start of the level which you are on.

I have a comment, suggestion, problem. How do I report it?

Simply email us at help@q-bee.co.uk and we will do our best to respond.

How do I play this game?

Instructions for play are written at the top of each screen, and where applicable there are 'voice-over' instructions as well.

Passwords

Forgotten Password.

I have not received my password.

Passwords will be issued usually within a few hours, however in certain circumstances, please allow up to 12 hours for processing. We assign your passwords manually to access the site.

I can't log in with the passwords sent.

Please check spelling and the phonetic values to ensure your password is correct. We manually check your password works prior to sending it to you.

Do I need a different password for each activity set?

No, In general we are quite good at spotting subscriptions for more than one set, and will set your log-in details to be the same for each set you subscribe to.

PARENT TIPS

Age rating's. Our age ratings are for use as a guide only. Some of the games with an older rating than your child's age may be suitable to play with parental assistance.
Games rated 2+ can still be enjoyed by children a lot older.
For example, the spelling games which require keyboard input, can be played by younger children.
You can be the best judge of your child's development. Therefore we recommend that you sit with your child, especially younger children, whilst playing the games so that they know how to operate the game.
Most children won't need to be shown twice!

Easy Play

Q-Bee games have been designed for easy play by your child. Clicking on the wrong answers will not interfere with game play.
Many levels contain hints, Games for younger children are made so that your child will not be able to move on to the next screen until they have selected the correct answer.
Games for older children may not all contain game hints, and may have scoring which means they will be able to move through the games even with a wrong answer, but may not be able to play subsequent levels without re-playing the game with all correct answers.

Recognition & Repetition

The games can be used by children learning the skills covered, because Q-Bee and Friends drop hints and tips during the games and wrong answers do not get a fail.
By playing the games more than once your child will become familiar with the shapes, colours, numbers and letters.

Certificates

Game Certificates are slowly being introduced for all our games, excluding Just for Fun games. These include a colouring picture and can be printed at the end of Level 5.

Printable Activities

Some activities may require parental assistance. For activities which require cutting and gluing, please supervise your child.
